M·T·R Landscape Architects is an award-winning firm specializing in the design of public and private gardens. Our landscape architects design exceptional outdoor environments for clients of all kinds, from botanical gardens, to public schools, to private residences. We are a full-service landscape architecture firm with experience in every phase of project development, from master planning to construction. M·T·R Landscape Architects is a small business and a women-owned business.

Melissa R. Marshall, RLA, FASLA

Melissa Marshall Principal
  Missy Marshall has devoted her career to creating exceptional public and private gardens that make a difference in people's lives. A recipient of the American Public Gardens Association's Award of Merit, Missy has been an expert adviser and designer for over fifty public gardens, as well as parks, private residences, cemeteries, and schools.

Missy works with clients to discover and express the essence of a place and establish strategies for sustainable development over time. One of the projects that most influenced her subsequent work was the master plan for Bloedel Reserve, which in the words of its founder "is a place where people may find refreshment and tranquility in the presence of natural beauty."

Missy's accomplishments include the design for the Center for Home Gardening at the Missouri Botanical Garden, Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden, and the H.O. Smith Botanic Gardens at Penn State, among many award-winning projects. She is an unabashed lover of botany, gardening, and the Maine Coast.

Kara Roggenkamp, RLA, ASLA, LEED Green Associate

Kara Roggenkamp Associate
  Kara designs landscapes that connect people with nature in their every day lives, with particular expertise in learning landscapes and green infrastructure. She is an accomplished landscape architect whose 12-year design career includes work with public landscapes throughout the U.S., including botanical gardens, schools, national cemeteries, and public parks.

As an Associate with the award-winning firm MTR Landscape Architects she has played a leadership role in all phases of design, from concept to construction, for small gardens as well as multi-million dollar projects. Kara is a PA-licensed Landscape Architect (RLA), a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects, and a LEED Green Associate.

  Pat is an accomplished landscape architect and planner whose 30-year design career includes broad experience in the preparation of master plans, feasibility studies, design development, cost estimation and construction documentation for federal and private development projects.

As a Landscape Architect with MTR Landscape Architects he serves as a project manager. Pat is a licensed Landscape Architect (RLA) in Ohio and Pennsylvania, a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects, a certified member of the Council of Landscape Architects Examining Boards (CLARB), a LEED Accredited Professional specializing in Building Design and Construction., and currently serves as Secretary of the Pennsylvania State Board of Landscape Architects.

He is the project manager for the following Veterans Administration Cemetery projects: Bay Pines NC, Baltimore NC, Calverton NC, Culpeper NC, Florida NC, Long Island NC and Quantico NC.
