Chicago Botanic Garden
MTR has designed numerous gardens and exhibits at the 385-acre Chicago Botanic Garden, one of the top five public gardens in the United States. The award-winning Enabling Garden is a showcase for design innovations that allow people with disabilities to garden, as well as a beautiful and functional event space. For two decades, the Fruit & Vegetable Garden has continued to be one of the most popular exhibits at the Chicago Botanic Garden, with 3.8 acres of more than 400 varieties of edible plants, clustered around a core of buildings that include a home greenhouse display, indoor classrooms, exhibits and an outdoor kitchen amphitheater. The Circle Garden at the Chicago Botanic Garden celebrates the versatility of annual flowers in a changing display of color, texture and form.
