Kauffman Memorial Garden
The Kauffman Memorial Garden is a 2-acre garden oasis dedicated to the memory of Ewing and Muriel Kauffman. Anyone can come, free of charge, to enjoy the colors and glory of plants, the splash and cooling of water and the beauty of sculpture in a garden setting. MTR designed a series of formal garden rooms built around an Orangery. Everywhere there are places to sit and enjoy listening to the sound of the fountains. The Canal Garden has a long linear pool with bronze figures dancing through sprays of water. Tucked behind the orangery is the walled Secret Garden with lush perennials and seating nooks. Hidden jets of water erupt randomly from the lush plantings adding a playful note and the splash of water.
