Sinquefield Reserve

M·T·R has worked closely with the owners of Sinquefield Reserve from master planning through schematic design, construction documentation, and site observation for their 1,700-acre private estate. The Sinquefields’ vision was to transform this former farm overlooking the Osage River into an arboretum and a retreat for friends and family. M·T·R designed and oversaw the construction of a 15-acre lake for canoeing, swimming, and fishing. The south end of the lake is designed in Japanese Garden style, while the north end was planted with native species for bird habitat. The owners often host Boy Scout outings to their property, so outdoor education was an important factor in the design.
